DAY 1

Travel: Pittsburgh International Airport
An easy to navigate airport thanks to the monorail with safe food options such as a GNC featuring delicious Alani Nu bars, a Joe and the Juice with smoothies and GF bread options, and Glutteny (GF/DF/mostly vegan bakery in PGH) items sold at The Strip Market stand next to Chick Fil A!
Breakfast: KLVN Coffee Lab
Divine single origin coffee, cool aesthetic, and on Sundays, they offer Baby Loves Tacos! I definitely recommend ordering a pour over and even checking out some of the merchandise!

Lunch: Shady Grove
Gluten-free bread and dedicated fryer for french fries/tater tots. Definitely inform your waiter about your allergies, and they are happy to accommodate! This is a pretty setting with a lovely outdoor patio and rooftop, so definitely make sure to stop in for brunch and take some pictures.

Drinks: BrewDog Pittsburgh Outpost
They have gluten-free cider, gluten-free chicken wings (baked), vegan options, and gluten-free burgers and fries (dedicated fryer). SUCH a fun patio and setting. Their specialty cola is also delicious!

Dinner: Noodlehead
Genuinely some of the best food in PGH. They are super accommodating to allergies and are able to accommodate to any. Their pad thai is naturally gluten-free, but everything else needs a slight adjustment. Not peanut-free, but they are able to be egg-free as well.

Treat: Gaby et Jules
Gluten-free macaron ice cream sandwiches! So delicious and such a fun and safe dessert option.
DAY 2

Snack: Baby Loves Tacos
Cute little walk up stand to pick up delicious tacos and nachos! They use corn tortillas, so it’s more authentic AND gluten-free. The price is fair: $10 for 3 massive tacos with a generous portion of well-marinated protein to leave you fully satisfied! Love this spot—definitely a must try in PGH.

Lunch: Iron Born Pizza & Pasta
They were so kind at answering all my allergy questions and they ensured no-contamination. The chicken wings are MASSIVE, delicious, and gluten-free—both dry-rubbed and the sauce is gluten-free as well. The house chips are safe too. This is definitely a restaurant that looks, from the outside, like there’s no chance it has options, but I was so surprised to find how well they were able to accommodate. LOVED!

Treat: Scoops in Bloomfield
They have allergen information posted on the wall for each flavor, and they wash the scoopers between uses to prevent cross-contamination. Very accommodating staff.

Dinner: Mola
This was the first time in my LIFE where sushi made me full, and I didn’t have to order more or get dessert. The portions of fish are generous, and the rice is hearty sushi rice. I got the sushi regular combo and told them gluten-free, so they brought everyone at my table GF soy sauce. They brought a reused bottle that was regular soy sauce filled with GF soy sauce, but I was uncomfortable with this, so they brought me individual packets which was perfect! The sushi regular didn’t have mayo on the platter, but just remember to remind them of an egg allergy before ordering maki because some had aioli. Definitely recommend!
DAY 3

Breakfast: Gluuteny Bakery
I have never been let down by this bakery! Everything is delicious, moist, and decadent. Their pastries are so rich and satisfying. I particularly love their sugar cookies with icing that taste just like the classic bakery sugar cookies from my childhood. Their thumbprint cookies are incredibly soft and flavorful as well. The only not I have is that they are often sold out of many items by the time I arrive, so be sure to go early!

Lunch: Mad Mex
They offer corn tortillas, and most of their menu is gluten-free including their nachos, which is AMAZING news!

Treat: Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream
There is a wide range of gluten-free and dairy-free options in their permanent and rotating flavors. The menu is marked GF/DF, but you must inform the staff that you have an allergy, so they use a different scooper.

Dinner: The Yard
They make nearly every gourmet grilled cheese gluten-free, and they use a dedicated fryer, so their sides are safe as well. The waiters are educated on sensitivities and ensure no cross-contamination. They have a ton of vegetarian options as well!
DAY 4

Breakfast: Kaibur Coffee
A lot of delicious vegan options that are also gluten-free. The staff here are conscious of allergies, and I usually get nervous when I have to order online, but they give a lot of opportunity to leave notes about allergens. I tried the breakfast down and banh mi bowl, and both were so flavorful and balanced and safe. Highly recommend!

Venue: PNC Park
Plenty of options for gluten-free (mostly pre-packaged though, but some places do accommodate, so its worth asking) – my favorite is the kettle corn. They occasionally have fully peanut-free and gluten-free games for celiac awareness events. BRGR is on the lower level and does have plenty of GF options including buns.

Lunch: Condado Tacos
Everything on the menu is marked gluten-free, containing dairy, etc. and the waitress was skilled in answering questions on the spot about allergens not explicitly listed on the menu. They also wrote celiac on my order ticket and ensured no cross-contamination. I did not get sick, and I had a great time with all the DELICIOUS food, especially the nachos!

Dinner: Mandy’s Pizza
Love this place. The pizza is delicious and the employees are the kindest. If you call and ask nicely (a few days before you plan to order) they will even make THICK crust gluten-free pizza. That is so rare for me to find and that is why I adore this shop!
