Peanut and Tree Nut-Free Greece Top Picks

Hi! I’m Gabby, and I’ve been to Greece many times (I’m part Greek!) and recently went back this summer. I found several safe spots to eat while managing peanut and tree nut allergies and shared them on the Spokin app — they are also all featured in this guide. One of my favorites was Medusa, where I safely had the most amazing fish. A fun thing to do if you are in Greece is a boat day!  A lot of companies offer meals during these boat charters and can easily accommodate! If they can’t, I always bring extra gyro pitas I pack before our boat trip. Follow me on Spokin @gabbylevinson to see all of my allergy-friendly reviews and on Insta @gabbylevinson!

MALIA

“They have very easy-to-navigate menus. Owned by cousins of mine! Typical visitors are Israelis with some kosher dietary restrictions, and they can provide similar meals.”

MILOS

Medusa

Location: Milos, Greece

“One of the most beautiful restaurants. We became friendly with the owner, Pericles. They are a wonderful family-owned restaurant that is always very busy because of its beautiful sunset view. The waiter was proactive about my nut allergy, and there wasn’t much on the menu with nuts.”

The White Hotel Milos (The White Suites)

Location: Milos, Greece

“This is a beautiful boutique hotel close to town. To be honest I didn’t eat much here, I brought my own breakfast granola but they were so helpful with my coffee, and overall an extremely clean and safe place to stay, within 5 min walking distance of all the restaurants, shops, and port.”

Odyssey A Cruises

Location: Milos, Greece

“No nuts on board, but they’re ultra cautious and didn’t want to guarantee complete safety-so I just brought my own GYRO pita. I ended up having drinks and I brought some my own snacks.”

MYKONOS

Jimmy’s Gyros

Location: Mykonos, Greece

“THE BEST GYRO IN MYK!”

“Scorpios was the most proactive restaurant about my allergies. I was in shock! They went above and beyond, even double-washed my silverware, and made sure everything was cooked in its own special pots!”

“This hotel was perfect for Paros. The pool is great it overlooks the ocean and port. I didn’t eat much here besides drinks (coffee, soda, and water) because we ate in the towns or beaches every meal.”

Yria Boutique Hotel & Spa

Location: Paros, Greece

“GREAT HOTEL!”

SANTORINI

Esperas Santorini

Location: Santorini, Greece

“Awesome hotel. Gorgeous rooms overlooking the Caldera. We stayed in a villa where my brother and I had our own space and beds. We had our own small kitchen to keep safe snacks and many of the hotel employees spoke English, which helped greatly! Breakfast was included each morning and they went out of their way to help us choose safe foods. It was a once in a lifetime experience that my family and I will never forget!”

SIFNOS

Psarona Hospitality

Location: Sifnos, Greece

“This is an Airbnb owned by the kindest most amazing people. It used to be an old ceramics factory. We have never stayed in a more beautiful place. There is one restaurant in the area and they are family owned and amazing with allergies (they only use 1-2 nuts and accommodated me with ease). There’s also a mini market owned by the same people. If you want a beautiful relaxing vacation off the beaten path in Greece, this is for you. I wish I could live here honestly.”
