Cecconi’s Barcelona
Location: Barcelona, Spain
“Beautiful restaurant with outstanding service. Part of the Soho House group, which was a fantastic find for us since they also have locations in London and the U.S. All of their restaurants are nut-free, although they do have pine nuts in one dish, I think, but in Spain, they do not consider pine nuts as a tree nut, so check if that is a concern for you.
The host immediately acknowledged our allergies from the reservation and walked us through safe options. He even shared the exact ingredients of their housemade focaccia—fluffy, delicious, and safe for our daughter with a sesame allergy (a rare treat!). She also loved the tuna tartare.
Most desserts had cross-contact risk, but the lemon soufflé was safe—we didn’t try because we were too full, but next time! A perfect spot for a special occasion and well worth it.”

Nap
Location: Barcelona, Spain
“This is a chain that specializes in authentic Neapolitan pizzas and was recommended to us by a friend who has allergies. They have multiple locations throughout Spain and even Germany!
The menu is completely nut-free, and they do not use sesame. We double-checked with our dining out card. We ate here 3 times during our 2-week stay! Pizza is delicious.”

TKO Tacos Barna
Location: Barcelona, Spain
“Fast food taco chain in Spain (we also found locations in Barcelona and Palma). Everything on the menu is nut-free, which made it a reliable and safe lunch option during our trip. We ate there three times over our two-week stay.
Their menu is clearly coded with each allergen and covers all 14 major allergens, but of course, we double-checked. It can get busy, though!”

Pizzaiolo
Location: Madrid, Spain
“Cute small, family-run pizza place. English is not spoken, so bring a translation card. Our Spanish-speaking friend called ahead and confirmed they use 00 flour with no nuts or sesame. Staff checked our allergen card with the chef, and our daughter safely had a Margherita pizza. Delicious and perfect for our first night!”

Taberna El Schotis
Location: Madrid, Spain
“We had dinner at this lovely outdoor spot. They have a clear allergen menu, and the waiter took our card to the kitchen. Our daughter safely had steak and fries. The food was just okay, but we appreciated the allergen awareness and a safe meal.”

Arrocería Marina Ventura
Location: Madrid, Spain
“We went here after a flamenco show. It’s a mostly paella-focused restaurant that caters to tourists and feels more upscale, though the food was just okay.
Our Spanish-speaking friend called ahead and confirmed in advance that none of the paellas contain nuts or nut oils—only olive oil, seafood, truffle oil, tomato sauce, aromatics, and Arborio rice.
We skipped the croquettes to avoid any sesame cross-contact, just to be safe. They do speak English at the restaurant though!”

Marqués Free From (Antes Confitería Marqués)
Location: Madrid, Spain
“This well-known allergy-friendly chocolate shop was a bit out of the way, but absolutely worth the trip. They no longer sell baked goods, but we grabbed a few delicious chocolate mousses to go and stocked up on chocolate for the rest of our trip (everything was delicious). The owner, Alejandro, is incredibly kind and passionate about supporting the allergy community.”

Flamenco Essential Flamenco Show
Location: Madrid, Spain
“Wonderful show—just the right length for kids, not too long or short. Drinks are included (my daughter got a Sprite). While the bar may serve nuts, no food is allowed inside the show area (which is separate from the bar) so we were okay with that!”

Ca Na Rita | Platja de Muro
Location: Playa de Muro, Spain
“Seaside restaurant tucked away by Muro Beach with a great view and outdoor seating. Helpful allergen menu, and staff remembered our reservation and answered questions about the oil. No clear info on cross-contact with buns, though, so I stayed away. Our daughter safely had the steak and fries (fried in sunflower oil).”

Nunu
Location: Port de Sóller, Spain
“Great allergen menu and very attentive staff. We spoke to the owner ahead of time and asked about the spaghetti bolognese for our daughter.
The owner listed ingredients, even mentioning that he uses Barilla pasta for the bolognese. Upon arrival, they knew our reservation, confirmed ingredients, and served our daughter last after careful prep.
Staff spoke English and even double-checked allergies using our Equal Eats cards. Beautiful view, and we had a large group of 8, but the waiter was so patient and provided great care for our last night.”

Eroski Sóller
Location: Sóller, Spain
“This is a great grocery store with a large selection of foods, including packaged, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, fish, etc. There are gluten-free and some allergy-friendly items. Much cheaper option than some of the smaller grocery stores in Port de Sóller. We loved it!”
