Boston Allergy-Friendly Travel Itinerary

northshore2

Hi, I’m Jen, and I’m a gluten-free food and travel coach from the Boston area. I’ve had Celiac disease for 12 years. The North Shore of Boston has a great selection of places for gluten-free food that I’ve reviewed on the Spokin app under @thenomadicfitz. Follow me on Instagram @thenomadicfitz for gluten-free recipes and travel tips or on my website www.thenomadicfitzpatricks.com for more!

DAY 1

Breakfast: Crave

Crave is my favorite spot on the North Shore for delicious breakfast sandwiches and cupcakes. The owner’s mother has Celiac disease, so they understand cross-contact and do a fantastic job!

Lunch: Woodman’s of Essex

Woodman’s has great fish and chips, dedicated fryers, and the staff is well educated.

Drinks: Far From the Tree

Far From The Tree is a 100% gluten-free cidery serving tasty and eclectic hard cider flavors.

Consistent and delicious gluten-free seafood. Great protocols and menu, and almost everything can be made gluten-free.

DAY 2

Breakfast: Kane’s Donuts

Kane’s gluten-free donut line is produced in a dedicated gluten-free facility. Their gluten free donuts are also free from dairy and nuts. The flavors are INSANE!

Lunch: Twist Bakery & Cafe

Dedicated bakery with amazing paninis, bread, and pastries! It’s such a joy to be able to walk inside and order without explaining a thing!

Dinner: Burton’s Grill & Bar

Great experience at Burton’s—clear protocols, delicious menu options, and allergen protocols in place.

Treat: Melt Ice Cream

Melt has delicious ice cream flavors, dedicated sprinkles, and gluten-free cones. Most of their flavors are gluten-free, but they will wash their hands, clean the scoop, and use a fresh container from the back.
