“This is a gorgeous hotel. The location was great for us – easy Uber to the Duomo and train station. But it is in a bit of a random location. The rooms were amazing. However, the hotel restaurant breakfast wasn’t able to accommodate my food allergy child so he didn’t eat anything there. Luckily we brought our own food. They had lots of gluten-free options though.”

“This is such an amazing place. We went twice, and both times the staff were outstanding. They have a separate kitchen for food allergies and celiac. They made sure that the pasta for my food allergy son was boiled in fresh water, so there was no cross-contact with egg, and told him that he really could have anything on the menu that he wanted except for two items: the pesto and the mortadella (tree nuts). They are AiC certified, so anything can be made gluten-free. The food is fantastic. We felt so taken care of and like they wanted to make sure we had a great experience. Loved it!”

“This restaurant is in a neat little piazza that has a market. They are AiC certified and had tons of gluten-free options (like everything could be made gluten-free). My food allergy son struggled a bit with what he could have. They were fantastic and just wanted to make sure everything was safe for him – he had the mussels, grilled octopus, and chicken as his main. They steered him away from pasta and pizza. The food was great!”

“Oh my gosh, this place was so amazing that the kids asked to go back. It’s super close to the Vatican, so if you’re going on a tour it’s perfect. They’ve been around for 40 years and are amazing with gluten-free food, and we’re fantastic with my son‘s food allergies. He was able to eat the pasta. However, he couldn’t eat the mussels or the octopus. Their focaccia was the best that we’ve had all trip. Really, really good food and amazing staff. They were also name dropping celebrities that had been there recently, so that makes it kind of fun!”

“This is such a cute little super casual pizza joint. It was really close to our hotel, and they also deliver. They have a separate kitchen for gluten-free pizzas. Pizza was totally different than the other pizzas we had on the trip, with a thinner crust. So delicious. They were great with both celiac and our food allergies.”

“A 100% gluten-free gelato and crepe place. My celiac daughter was so excited for the crepes! She is the only one who ate here. It was super busy, so my food allergy child decided he didn’t want anything from here. But for celiac, it was delicious!”

“This place was good, and we didn’t have any issues, but I don’t love that they use the same scoop for all flavors. He obviously cleaned it before scooping my food allergy son’s choices, but it still felt weird letting him eat it. The gelato was delicious, and it worked for us.”

“The location of this hotel was awesome. It was very central to all the places we wanted to see, without being right in the thick of it all. The staff is outstanding, super kind and just naturally happy. My kids aren’t big breakfast eaters, so they only grabbed fruit from the buffet. But on the last morning they brought out a warm gluten-free croissant for my daughter, and she was in heaven. Their rooftop restaurant, Ambrosia, was amazing with our food too. Gluten-free kids had steak and lamb and their own bread. Food allergy child had steak, and they brought out bread that worked for him. The hotel overall needs a bit of a decor update, but honestly, with how great they were with our food, it was easy to look past. I would stay here again for sure.”

“Our waiter was so helpful and took our allergy cards to the kitchen to make sure he was guiding my food allergy child. He was able to eat the cacio e pepe pasta here, the packaged breadsticks (but not the bread basket), and they brought him strawberry ice cream for dessert. All the pizzas and pastas were available gluten-free. Everything was so delicious, and it was a super leisurely dinner. Absolutely loved it.”

“This place was just okay. Totally safe and we didn’t have any issues. They have an allergen chart in the back of the menu, which was helpful. We just didn’t love the food. Food allergy child had bread basket and lamb chops. Gluten-free kids had a lot of options, and they brought out their own bread, which was delicious. They said they had lots of gluten-free options for dessert, but we didn’t have any. Allergy translation cards were super helpful here.”

“This place was a huge hit. My kids loved it. Our waiter was really helpful letting us know what worked. My food allergy child was able to have the pasta here and had the bolognese and bread from the bread basket. They brought out the best warmed Schar buns my kids have ever had. Tons of gluten-free options. We had pasta, mussels, and octopus salad. The food was outstanding. Used our allergy translation cards.”

“This place was so busy and popular, so I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, but we handed over our translation cards and the person behind the counter knew exactly how to direct us. My food allergy child had a berry gelato in a cone, and gluten-free had a lemon gelato in a cup. Super delicious.”
U-Visionary Venezia Hotel

“This place went above and beyond for us, and it was totally unexpected. At check-in, they asked if we had food allergies, so we told them what they are. At breakfast the next morning, I told the host our allergies and asked if they had anything safe for us. She knew our room number and showed us where to sit. She said they had been waiting for us and she would bring out our food. She then brought out 10-15 different plates of food that were safe for all of the kids. Tons of Schar bread and muffins. It was so unbelievable. They did the same thing the next morning too. Absolute heaven. Even better, it’s a really nice hotel with beautiful rooms, super clean and literally a 2-minute walk from the train station. A million stars for this place.”
