Cocolo Ramen
“No nuts at all and the hype is totally worth it! but expect a long line, even immediately at 6PM. The pork and the fish broths have really great flavour depth and aren’t too salty. Wish they included more veggies though.”
Dos Pescados I – Tegel
“Positive review only because it ended up being a safe meal. Allergies are labeled but it took significant back and forth to explain why that was important allergy wise and get information on the oil they used (as of October 2023- rapeseed and sunflower).”
Shiso Burger Auguststrasse
“Love the ebi burger, salmon salad, and lychee mixer! It can get pretty pricey pretty fast, but it’s an amazing and super allergy-aware option. Staff is very knowledgeable and the punches of flavor are immaculate.”
Mmaah – Korean BBQ Express
“No nuts at all! SUPER reasonable prices and Allergy menu in German and English on their website Love the medium size combo of kimchi fries, chicken teriyaki with slaw, and a drink (12€)- pretty filling.”
Bao Gao Club 包餃會
“Super attentive staff (triple-checked allergies) and wonderful quality baos (had the pork mushroom)—on the pricier end but a great once-in-a-while treat.”
Японски ресторант “Ишин”
“No nuts at this branch of Ishin either but the quality and service were better at Mittelstrasse.”
Ishin Mittelstraße
“On the pricey end but great quality and safe—very popular so be sure to get there early! Ohly had plain nigiri, though because they were so busy and I wasn’t completely sure what additional things they had added to the bowls.”
Zollpackhof
“Typical München Food. Cozy Biergarten on the water with nice shade from the trees and an indoor area. A bit expensive but great beer and Weißwurst. Our group also shared the schweinhaxe, which came with two potato dumplings.”
Weisse Kebap Haus
“No nuts and everything is labeled and vegetarian! I‘ve had their halloumi durums and vegan Döner in brot! And a super yummy selection of sauces and veggies! Note: High risk of cross-contamination for those with specific vegetable, spice, soy, milk and wheat allergies, though.”
TERAS Döner Kebab
“A local favorite for a reason! Affordable prices , delicious, big portions, comparatively large variety of platters and to go options, AND a fully written allergen key! A must!”
Humboldt Forum
“Great food options and wonderful seating area! Reasonable for museum prices.”
Ditsch
“Rating the chain: everything labeled! Fresh pretzels and sandwiches, great for a student budget and easy to find at nearly every major mall and train station.”
Mizu Ramen
“Allergy lettering for peanuts is different here (B=peanuts). H is still tree nuts and and G (don’t always see this in restaurants) is lupine. None of the dishes had any of these allergens. It is on the pricier end compared to other student meals but the quality was good. Nice treat!”
Witty’s Currywurst
“Completely nut free and made to order! All ingredients are labeled on their website—only allergens there are sunflower oil, wheat, soy, mustard, and eggs (as of 2023). Texture wise, it’s not my favorite, but the sauce is tangy, sweet, and has a little kick of spice.”
JW Steakhouse Berlin
“Really tasty fish dish here and everything’s very nut-allergen friendly.”
Osmanya
“Was invited here for a work dinner and the staff ensured there were no nuts in any dish at our table to make sure our party was comfortable. Had stuffed vine leaves as a starter, grilled eggplant as a main, and a fruit platter for dessert. The only drawback is high risk of contamination with pistachios.”
Drink
COMEBUY Berlin Mitte Flagshipstore
“Everything labeled! Completely nut-free. Nice chewy boba but definitely overall on the sweeter side. I usually opt for 50% sweetness.”
MOD ROCKERS ROASTERY & BAGELS
“Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! Bagels are a bit small but good quality. Coffee is ok.”
Café Hermann Eicke
“Great coffee! Simple menu.”
Handbestand
“Such a cozy cute place – part cafe and part antique bookstore. Great cappuccino.”
Catnip Coffee
“Only got a drink here and was honestly a little freaked out by a peanut cake. I’m not sure I’d ever eat there if allergens were present because it’s a tiny preparation area. Felt okay with drinks though and the cats were cute.”
2D Cafe Always Together
“Only nuts in the kitchen are pistachios. I was a Little nervous to get anything here but they assured me there was only one dessert with nuts and additionally took extra time to walk me through the ingredients for the dessert I wanted and potential contaminants. I safely had a coffee and matcha croffle. Also a super cute place!”
Lerchen&Eulen
“Cool, artsy bar in Kreuzberg- can get quite packed but there’s also very nice outdoor seating. No bar nuts!”
The Greens
“Really cute and cozy place by the Ephraim Palais- nice coffee . All pastries are labeled with allergens (they do however have a variety of pastries with nuts in the same display case).”
Treat
Chipi Chipi Bombón
“The dulce de leche was so wonderfully strong and the staff was super aware of allergens. I sometimes find it easier/less complicated to just say I’m allergic to all nuts, and even so they walked me one by one through each of the flavours and ingredients to make sure I felt safe. Only 3 had nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios).”
Du Bonheur
“Gorgeous pastries—extremely aware of allergies. They even have a nut-free binder. I love their macarons, almond croissants and raspberry croissants!”
Berlin Baking Company
“Coffee is great. Croissants are large, and the quality is good but not the best in the city.”
Café Komine
“Was almost tempted to keep this a secret because it’s so hard already to get a table here 😅 this bakery is truly something special – a mix of fine French pastries and Japanese flavors. I can’t even pick a favorite on their menu because they’re all so wonderful. The chef is super nice and very knowledgeable about allergies. All allergies are also on the website for pre-orders (highly recommended as things sell out fast). My favorite here is the black sesame cake.”
Les Pâtisseries de Sébastien
“Incredible! Everything is labeled! the quality is wonderful, and the baker is so kind! Definitely try their croissants and baguettes!”
CANAL – Linienstraße
“A Berlin classic, Canal has wonderful, special eclairs and ice cream. Staff is super knowledgeable about allergies. My favorite here is the chocolate raspberry eclair with little pink hearts.”
AERA
“Everything is gluten free. Most things are vegan. AND they only use hazelnuts and almonds (last update March 2024)—also very reasonable prices!”
OOH! Cookies
“Might have rebranded to Baked in Berlin or NY Cookies, but same address Dorotheenstraße 43. I never get cookies here because it’s a small shop with one shared oven for all products. Their fall/winter menu currently has walnuts and macadamia nuts. BUT their coffees are incredible.”
