Parm
“Really good spot for classic Italian food with a simple menu and fun interior. There’s no fish on the menu and the one item with nuts is a salad that has almonds, but the server said they make the salads separately from the other menu items. We got the pizza knots as an appetizer and then I got the fusilli bolognese and a side of garlic broccoli. The food was so good and the portion sizes were big so we had leftovers! Also, you MUST try the ricotta, it’s made fresh there!”

Loring Place
“I came here mostly for drinks but we did end up getting their seasonal fry (asparagus at the time) which were so yummy! When we ordered before I could even say anything the bartender asked if there were any allergies, I mentioned my shellfish allergy and he let me know that their current menu doesn’t work with any shellfish but he would still put a note in. Love that thoroughness and will definitely be going back!”

El Churro
“I actually discovered this place while on the plane to NYC! Their churros were safe for me (gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free, and shellfish-free) but do contain coconut (I can have coconut)! They were so amazing and I couldn’t believe I was having churros for the first time. They are open super late so we actually went straight there after landing (it was like 1 AM). They make the churros in front of you, and I had dairy-free chocolate sauce and a honey jalapeno sauce! They are super allergy friendly and I crave them everyday ”

“No fish at this location and there’s an allergy chart up front!”

Baby Luc’s
“It was great to enjoy pizza by the slice. If you are looking to avoid shellfish, this is a great option because they only serve four different types of pizza, and the flavor combos are classic and simple. Slightly overpriced at $6 a slice, but still delicious.”

Pazza Notte
“I’m not even exaggerating, this is some of the best and most unique pizza I’ve ever had. I’ve gone twice, the first time was in December and we got delivery, and then we went again this week and ate in the restaurant. There are no fish or nuts in any of the pizzas on the menu and the waiter was good at double checking for me and letting the kitchen know. ”

2 Bros. Pizza
“I’ve eaten here occasionally in the past and it’s some of the best New York pizza! Highly recommend their white pizza slices. They don’t have any nuts or shellfish in their shop. If you ask about allergies before ordering, they’re confident everything is safe for you to eat.”

Thompson Central Park New York, by Hyatt
“Review for BURGER JOINT which is in/past the hotel lobby:
Went here last week and loved it! The vibes are amazing, you would never guess you’re in a hotel lobby. They have burgers, fries, milkshakes, and that’s pretty much it. No nuts or fish in anything, and they have vegetarian options too. I read the label of the burger buns they use and it said made in a facility with nuts so I opted for no bun but I know some people are comfortable with eating stuff made in the same facility. Overall awesome experience, the burger was really good and the location and vibe is so so cool!”

Melt Shop
“No fish or nuts on the menu as far as I am aware! Basic fried fare, including chicken sandwiches, tenders, fries, grilled cheese, and burgers. It’s a good ‘fast food’ kind of option, as an alternative to bigger chain places that have more allergens present. ”

S’MAC East Village
“They literally have a whole section of their online menu dedicated to allergies. No nuts, no shellfish, and they offer alternatives to dairy. Food is amazing! ”

Wogies Bar & Grill , West Village
“Wogies has zero nuts or fish on the menu (with the exception of pecans in a dessert). All of their bread is homemade fresh in house and their menu is small and simple. Their waitstaff is very understanding and kind when it comes to asking questions about food allergies and even offered for me to speak with the chef. I was able to ask many questions, and they welcomed it and answered them all very clearly. However, I’d recommend to go during a time when it isn’t too crowded, so they can pay close attention to your accommodations and questions.”

Beyond Sushi
“I love this restaurant! It’s a completely vegan sushi place. They use vegan fish in the sushi and it tastes really really close to the real thing. They also make bao, dumplings, rice paper wraps, and fried chicken. ”

Dickson’s Farmstand Meats
“This is a spot in Chelsea Market that I went to this summer! I got the brisket sandwich but opted for it without the bun because they weren’t 100% sure about the bakery it was from. However, all of the meat is cooked there and they don’t cook with any fish or nuts. They also sell things like homemade jerky and salami, although I didn’t get a chance to try those. ”
