“One of three in a row vegan restaurants in the east village by plant based star chef Matthew Kenney. I love the brunch here, and especially the nachos, and the fabulous drinks. I spent a year going here regularly on weekends and was always very happy with my choice. I highly recommend checking this place out along with its neighbors. ”

“Vegan restaurant in Brooklyn so no dairy or egg in the place. Always very clear with answering my specific questions. They make most of their items in house so they are able to tell you about ingredients. Very tasty food!”

Double Zero

“VEGAN PIZZA SPOT! This restaurant is one of three vegan spots in a row in the East Village. There’s 0 dairy in the restaurant so I can relax when I eat here. This is not a fast casual pizza spot- it’s upscale and the menu offers pizza, pasta, vegan cheese boards, desert, etc. It is more of a splurge, but worth it depending on what you get :)”

LuAnne’s Wild Ginger

“Amazing vegan Chinese food! The amount of times I’ve eaten here/ gotten takeout is beyond words. The prices are fair which is big for NYC, especially a vegan spot in NYC, and the food is amazing. Go go for the soba noodle stir fry, miso soup, spring roll, pineapple fried rice, and so many more ”

“This is a restaurant in Chinatown that serves vegan dim sum and Chinese food! The menu items with peanuts are clearly labeled. I was so excited to eat some of my old favorites that I haven’t had since going vegan, and also try some new ones that would traditionally have shrimp like shumai and shrimp dumplings.”

“A trendy, upscale little fondue / tapas spot with no dairy?! I promise it’s true. This vegan spot is certainly not cheap but it’s WORTH IT. They serve tapas style dishes and fondue (both a dinner and dessert version). Located in the East Village and has a late night menu with discounted tapas and wine. This is my go to for special occasions and whenever I’m feeling fancy. ”

“This is a 100% gluten-free AND vegan Mexican restaurant with incredible drinks and food. And you’ll never know everything is vegan and gf, and you def won’t miss the meat and cheese. So much flavor and texture to all of the dishes. The cocktails are incredible- they do serve beer and make some drinks with beer, so if you have celiac, pay attention to the descriptions of the cocktails.”

“This is a completely vegan Italian restaurant that was absolutely delicious. We ordered the homemade bread with dips, fried artichokes, pizzas and pastas. It was so fun to be in that kind of restaurant and to be able to order anything from the menu. ”

by CHLOE. Rockefeller Center

“Have now been to 3 of the By Chloe locations and have had pleasant experiences at each! Considering it is completely vegan, I didn’t have to worry about cross-contamination with egg or dairy, and peanuts were not an issue either. NOW I will say that tree nuts might be another issue as far as cross contamination goes, but this might be something to talk to the staff about because I know that some items do not contain tree nuts. Just putting that out there as well! Super cool atmosphere with nice service and super cool and unique menu items! One of my faves is the meatball sub! The ice cream push up pops were great too!”

Whipped Urban Dessert Lab

“The whole restaurant is vegan and they have a clearly labeled menu with other allergen information. However, their process is strange. You order at a kiosk and then they call your number and ask if you have allergies before making your order. A bit odd. But they were great about cleaning everything and pulling ingredients and spoons from the back. Also amazing ice cream!”

“This restaurant is entirely vegan so there’s no dairy at all! It’s one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to, the food is delicious. It’s also nice to be able to order cocktails and desserts without worrying about dairy. They have gluten-free items marked on the menu but I’m not sure about gluten cross contamination. ”

“We tried so many things off of the menu and every single one was a hit. The restaurant is completely vegan. We had sushi, dumplings, kale salad, Dan Dan noodles and desserts. This is a chain and we will definitely visit our local spot soon!”

Beyond Sushi

“MY FAVORITE-VEGAN SUSHI! Beyond Sushi has multiple locations across Manhattan, this one being their largest sit down location with a full dinner menu. My favorite dumplings ever are called ‘the badge’ and I recommend them highly. The waitstaff always answers my questions thoroughly. The menu is vibrant and unique and amazing.

*I’m not allergic to fish but I don’t eat fish and this is a great option for those who are allergic because the sushi is vegan ie. made from veggies and everything but fish. ”
