Boston Food Allergy-Friendly City Guide
One of the United State’s oldest cities, Beantown offers the charming heritage of cobbled streets, historical landmarks, manicured parks, and famous universities. As Massachusetts was the first state to pass food allergy laws for restaurants, Boston is one of Spokin’s most allergy-friendly cities. Check out Spokin App users' favorites!
1. Blue Dragon
“This was my first time having any type of Chinese food. The first thing out of the waitress’ mouth was ‘do you have any food allergies’? This was by far the most attentive restaurant I’ve been to for allergies. They made me feel comfortable and safe and the food was AMAZING!!!”

“Aside from the pizza being fantastic, this restaurant is great when it comes to food allergies. Between making these 90 second personal pizzas, the staff always changes their gloves. Additionally, if you inform them of your allergy when you order, they will pull ingredients from separate containers to ensure that there is no cross contamination.”
8. Diesel Cafe
"This is an awesome spot to hang out, drink coffee, get a bite, etc. It is also great with food allergies. If you inform them of your allergy while ordering, they will make sure that they run the tools used through the dishwasher, always change their gloves, ad they will prepare your food at an allergen free station."

"I had a delicious steak. The staff not only were good with handling allergies, but they could do it fast! If you asked a question, they wouldn’t take 5 minutes to answer like some places.”
13. Martsa On Elm
"While the restaurant does have a few types of nuts on their menu, they say that they are able to remove any ingredient from a dish because they cook everything fresh. They’re very conscious about food allergies, especially for an Asian restaurant, and I would go back in a heartbeat!"
"They always change their gloves when handling my food. I have never ordered anything fried, but their bread has been safe for me in the past. They’re very helpful in providing labels for anything you order!"

"This restaurant gave me some of the BEST food I’ve ever had. Everything is made extremely masterfully and the cherry on top of the peanut free cake is that they are extremely proactive in taking measures to make sure people with allergies in general are comfortable eating in their establishment."

"Had an amazing time here! A friend recommended this little place before visiting Boston. The atmosphere is lovely and the food is great. The menu states to let them know if you have any allergies. My sister is vegan and I am gluten free and they made two separate appetizers that both accommodated our needs."
"An amazing treat! First of all, they list everything that it does not contain very clearly. Very knowledgeable waitstaff. My son was really excited to have anything he wanted from the bakery. We also got some treats, the brownie was amazing! You couldn’t tell any of these treats were vegan or allergy free.”

"This place is entirely peanut, tree nut, and sesame free. My daughter was so happy to get a big waffle cone full of birthday cake ice cream with hot caramel on top. This place is a gem and awesome to feel 100% comfortable."

“FANTASTIC CUPCAKES! I enjoyed every bite of this cupcake and the enjoyment was only magnified by the fact that I wasn’t afraid of having an allergic reaction because this establishment has guaranteed me that I will be safe and satisfied.”

“Overall great experience here! Stayed recently for 2 nights in a club lounge room. The food in the club lounge was good and offered gf and vegan snacks. The best part was being connected to Copley Place and having many restaurants safe for me and my family.“

“The kitchen staff directed me straight to their head chef who was extremely knowledgeable and educated on food allergies. He walked me through the line and helped me choose what I wanted to eat then prepared it separately in the back. Easily one of the best and most secure hotels I have stayed at.“

“I stayed here during some college visits and I loved it! We had brunch at the hotel and it was amazing! The food was delicious ad they were very accommodating with our allergies! They also had a snack shop in the lobby with a ton of allergy friendly packaged snacks.”
