Homemade Ice Cream
PREP TIME: 10 minutes
TOTAL TIME: Dependent on ice cream maker
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups milk
3/4 cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
1 vanilla bean, scraped
Homemade ice cream is easier than you think and requires ingredients you likely have in your pantry. With the help of an ice cream maker all you need to do is whisk and pour! We love this recipe from Emeril particularly because it does't require a custard which means two great things: no stove and no eggs.
1. Whisk together all ingredients until sugar is dissolved
2. Pour mixture into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's instructions
3. Once ice cream is done scoop into an airtight container and transfer to freezer to firm
4. Once firm, serve with your favorite toppings- we like rainbow sprinkles!
